An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Project Engineer, working for a large company based in Colchester, Essex. Basic salary £30k to £35k plus benefits (To a total of 5% after qualifying period), Pension, PMI, PHI, Death in service, Employee Benefit Trust. This position would be ideal for an Infrastructure Engineer with project experience, looking to move into project management in the long term. Objective - Responsible for Implementing technologies including Microsoft and bespoke solutions in a mixed thick / thin environment. - Able to complete business IT system integrations into a core infrastructure, following known standards. - Ensuring all post project and build documentation is completed in a timely manner. - Handing over to helpdesk staff post project. - Able to contribute to key technical strategic design decisions. Essential skills - Understanding of LAN/WAN Connectivity, pref Cisco - Active Directory - Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 - MS Exchange 2003 and 2007 - Understanding of key Citrix technologies (including XENserver, XENapp etc). - Good knowledge of Microsofts core productivity suites Profile - Proven Systems Engineering at Experience at Server level - Ability to work under pressure - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels - Ability to work away from home, staying away at least 2 night a week or additional if required - Own transportation will full UK clean driving licence - Will be required to frequently work across the UK

An excellent contract position (1 year fixed term – maternity cover) for a Business Analyst has become available, working for a fast growing, dynamic insurance company based in Colchester, Essex. Purpose of job: - To support and manage the systems used within the Group; primarily the insurance underwriting and broking platforms plus associated systems - Assist in defining requirements for setting up new products or system changes including working with those that undertake the establishment of new procedures and working practices related to products or systems. - Develop new products / make system changes using the broking platform toolkit. Essential Skills: - Business Analysis experience - Insurance / Financial services experience essential (personal and commercial lines experience required) - Experience of and involvement in the whole project lifecycle - Use of Business Analysis methodology i.e. structured approach - Liaison with and management of third party suppliers - An understanding of Project Management (not necessarily a full PM role) - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio) - General technical understanding (i.e. technology used within a business environment) - Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) - The ability to communicate and deal with all levels of users and management - Ability to produce high quality documentation (reports, specifications, requirements etc), - Requirements gathering and analysis - Business Process mapping, Analysis, definition of workarounds etc. - System testing, definition of approach, day to day management - Organisational change management and Negotiation ability. - Ability to constantly adjust priorities / workload - Must have good technical knowledge as this is a hands on Business Analyst role. - Must have experience working in an un-structured environment. As the business is expanding rapidly, the successful candidate will be working in a forever changing environment. Therefore experience working in a busy, unstructured environment is essential. All applicants must hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel within the UK 2-3 days per week. Basic salary £40k + excellent benefits.
